Steam Addicts Anonymous: Weekly Roundup 48

Things have died down on the new games area, but tournament season is heating up:

  • Hardware is something every gamer needs. We do not talk about it much, but the HD7970 is worth mentioning due to the extremely powerful turbo boost.
  • DOTA 2 received announcers earlier. The only good one so far is Dr. Kleiner from Half-Life, but it is pretty good. Also Rubick is dominating in many games after his redesign.
  • It is now fairly unclear as to whether Torchlight 2 will be coming out in a timely manner. We hope so though.
  • DC Universe online came out with a content pack not too long ago. It will have some stiff competition with Guild Wars 2 coming out.
  • For those who can’t afford Diablo 3, GW2, etc, Krater is looking pretty good.

Steam moves ahead every day as usual. However, we are still waiting for the Steam motion controls. How can I download and install these using a keyboard and mouse? Are we living in the stone age here?  As usual, be sure to leave us feedback on what you would like to hear about next edition. Help us help you!
