Steam Addicts Anonymous: Weekly Roundup 15

There have been some really excellent bundles recently that you should know about if you want to save money.

  • You can get two Steam games and a free alpha that plays like 3D Dot Game Heroes for just $4.90 USD at the time of this writing, if you go to Humble Indie Bundle. It’s worth it just for “The Binding of Isaac”, a great but rather disturbing game.
  • Sanctum is having a free-to-play weekend.
  • The Terraria patch date keeps getting pushed back, but this will hopefully be their biggest patch of all time.
  • If you missed it and love the series, you should check out the free demo called Saint’s Row The Third: Initiation Station.
  • A really strange but interesting development in the case of Steam trying to get BF3. A recent contest by a major video card manufacturer mentioned a Steam game code for Battlefield 3. While this mention here isn’t definitive proof, it is a solid hint.
  • DCUO is now free to play. Quite a surprising move for a game that was known for its unique subscription options.
  • Gabe Newell had a birthday recently. Happy Birthday Gabe.

It’s getting pretty cold so be sure to warm up with the heat from your computer after playing too many Steam games. Addiction is not without benefits. As usual, be sure to leave us feedback on what you would like to hear about next edition. Help us help you!
