Steam Addicts Anonymous: Weekly Roundup 6

The smoke has cleared from PAX, Gamescom and the other big names. Regardless we will still get you some news you may have missed.

  • Call of Duty sales are on in a big way. This is clearly to gear up for the huge release of the new Call of Duty. And Black Ops is free to play for the weekend.
  • Hard Reset has received attention from major names in the industry. We are not sure how good it will be, but it sure looks pretty.
  • The Red Orchestra 2 beta is out for people who pre-purchased. Reports are that it is very buggy, but is that any surprise in a beta?
  • Many advertisers  have been clamoring for a Steam affiliate program for ages now. Let us hope they listen.
  • Fans of Deathspank should really check out the Baconing. Same Deathspank humor, new bacon taste.
  • Battlefield 3 is already releasing trailers which showcase their DLC. If you have the money for it, it looks decent.
  • People just love making small car combat games ever since Zombie Driver, you can check out the latest entry Wasteland Angel.
  • Achron was recently released. It is an RTS where you can control time. Definitely worth a look.
  • Somewhere between Borderlands and L4D2 is Dead Island and it is coming soon.

The one good thing about Steam addiction? You can’t sell your Steam games to buy more Steam games. We are all in trouble when the day comes that you can.  As usual, be sure to leave us feedback on what you would like to hear about next edition. Help us help you!
