Steam Addicts reviews Deus Ex: Human Revolution

It’s the game that Gamestop decided to try to further rub their reputation in the dirt over. The game that had PC fanboys wetting their beds either with pee in anxious anticipation or from sweat due to the good name of their favorite franchise being sullied even further.

John Metz has got Steam Addicts final word on Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

He seemed to like it a bit.

One of the reasons I love this game so much, is that it’s a shooter that finally embraces the idea of independent thought. The game gives you an objective, teaches you the basics of all of its fundamentals, then leaves you alone. Sure sometimes it will guide you to a particular door, or wall, or ladder, but it does so in such a non-invasive way. As a player, all you have to do is complete the objective. How you do it is left entirely up to you.

My real issue is with this.

…Human Revolution will have you using your brain over and over again… What’s that? Using your noggin? Thinking?

Sounds like trash if you ask me. I hate that thinking crap. And games.

Really the whole experience sounds miserable. But what do I know? Read John’s review.

I’d trust him.
